The all-new Spyker C8 Preliator Spyder has been the talk of the town for its Koenigsegg 592bhp V8. Introduced at the recently held Geneva motor show, no has a 5.0-litre engine in place of the 4.2 litre one its predecessor had. The car comes with a six-speed manual gearbox. The torque production is estimated to be 442lb ft.

The earlier Preliator C8 coupe could jump to a speed of 62mph in about 3.7 seconds and had a total weight of 1305kg. The latest model aims to improve this as well as the top speed of 201mph. However, this is only an assumption and depends on many other factors yet to be seen. The exterior designing of the new Spyder is something that we can talk about with more certainty. It has brushed aluminium all around which gives the car an impressively shiny finish.

On the inside, there is the very attractive hand-stitched leather used for the seats. The cabin also gets new switches and trim. For the top, the makers have chosen an electronic, soft cover which ensures greater sophistication. The CEO sounded quite excited when he spoke of a “huge performance leap” at the occasion of the car’s debut in Geneva. He said he is impressed with his team for creating one of the most sophisticated cars which is likely to enjoy great popularity once released.

The sports car which will now have a horsepower of nearly 600 is expected to see its production started towards the end of this year or early next year. However, the amalgamation of Spyker and Koenigsegg already has the potential buyers anxious which seem to be great news in terms of marketing. The loyalists of both these brands will still find the signature elements only this time combined with each others’.
